Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Cath Lab

RWJUH Rahway Hospital, 865 Stone Street, Rahway, NJ 07065

Shift: Day (12‑hour shifts, on‑call required)
Pay Range: $48.29 – $65.06 per hour

The experienced Cath Lab RN is responsible for the general nursing activities in the Invasive Cardiovascular Lab (ICVL). The RN provides direct patient care, ensures high quality treatment, and participates in departmental initiatives.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a current New Jersey RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in ICU/Critical Care.
• Preferred: 2+ years of direct Cath Lab procedural nursing experience.
• Exhibits EKG, BLS (American Heart Association), and ACLS certification.
• Must reside within 30 minutes of the hospital to meet required call shift response time.

• Day shift, 7:00 AM‑7:30 PM.
• 12‑hour shifts with on‑call responsibilities.

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize subtle clinical changes.
• Administer safe, evidence‑based medications and provide hands‑on care.
• Collaborate with physicians and advanced providers, supporting timely, coordinated care decisions.
• Educate patients and families clearly and compassionately.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and strengthen communication across the team.
• Contribute to continuous professional growth through education and career development opportunities.
