The Assistant Director of Patient Care is a registered professional nurse who, under the direction of the Director of Patient Care, coordinates available resources to efficiently and effectively provide professional nursing care of a quality consistent with the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Standards of Care to the patients assigned to his/her unit, demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to make decisions regarding the provision of age-appropriate care for the unit s patient population,

• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments and recognizing subtle clinical changes, using your judgment to intervene early and advocate for your patients
• Providing safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands-on care grounded in strong clinical judgment

To be considered for this Assistant Director Patient Care/RN opportunity, you must hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing and a current American Heart Association BLS certification along with ACLS certification upon hire. Vent experience preferred. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is strongly preferred with a minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience or 2 years of acute care nursing experience with previous management experience.

Post Intensive Care Unit (PICU) experience preferred. Strong critical thinking/assessment skills. This position is a full-time, day shift.
