Associate Scientist, Oral Formulation Sciences; Onsite

Our Pharmaceutical Sciences organization translates molecules to medicines, working from discovery through registration and manufacturing by designing, developing and scaling‑up formulations, device, and manufacturing processes. We drive drug product design from the bench to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) facilities, using cutting‑edge science to transform drug delivery and manufacturing technology to positively impact patients.

• Support formulation development of new chemical entities for first‑in‑human formulations (suspensions, solutions, capsules, tablets) through final market formulation definition and manufacturing process robustness assessment.
• Develop and apply basic principles and scientific concepts to execute work in laboratory or pilot plant environments to advance new solid oral drug products.
• Support manufacturing operations in non‑GMP and GMP environments.
• Execute routine experiments and interpret data with appropriate technical guidance.
• Operate and troubleshoot equipment and processes.
• Learn practical laboratory/pilot plant skills and fundamental scientific principles to support daily responsibilities.
• Understand overall project timelines to manage prioritization of individual contributor deliverables under appropriate supervision.
• Work well in collaborative team environments and build awareness of relevant new and current technologies.

Minimum Requirement: B.S. or M.S. degree in Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences or related discipline (expected no later than June 2027).

• Ability to learn and apply new scientific principles to daily responsibilities.
• Demonstrated ability to collate and conduct basic data analysis.
• Prior experience with Microsoft Office.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Prior experience in a laboratory environment.
• Experience with statistical software (JMP, Minitab) and numerical analysis software (Matlab).
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Passion to learn and develop as a pharmaceutical scientist.

Salary range: $71,900.00 – $. The exact salary within this range is determined by education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business needs. Eligible recipients may also receive an annual bonus and long‑term incentive, if applicable.
