I'm currently partnering with a well-established manufacturing company in Rahway, NJ that is looking to add a Quality Engineer to their growing team. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong quality engineering background who enjoys driving continuous improvement, solving complex problems, and ensuring products meet the highest quality standards.
What You'll Be Doing- Review product specifications and manufacturing processes to ensure quality requirements are met.
- Develop and implement inspection methods, testing procedures, and quality control plans.
- Perform quality inspections, validation activities, and statistical analysis to identify trends and improve product quality.
- Utilize quality tools such as SPC, Gage R&R, and Root Cause Analysis to investigate issues and implement corrective actions.
- Analyze nonconforming materials and products to determine root causes and recommend solutions.
- Maintain quality documentation, reports, and controlled records.
- Investigate customer complaints and returned products while coordinating corrective and preventive actions.
- Partner with production and cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and improve manufacturing processes.
- Support and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) while ensuring compliance with customer, regulatory, and industry requirements.
- Assist with automated measurement systems, tooling, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage multiple projects while meeting timelines and business objectives.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- 2–4 years of Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with quality tools including SPC, Gage R&R, and Root Cause Analysis
. - Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail and a passion for continuous improvement.
- Working knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- Experience with statistical analysis and quality improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with ERP, MES, or manufacturing database systems.
- Experience with automated inspection or measurement equipment.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally and manage quality improvement projects.
