Based in Rainsville, AL this role offers the chance to maintain plant facilities, perform preventative maintenance, and repair machinery while supporting a safe, efficient, and continuously improving manufacturing environment. You will play a key role in keeping equipment running reliably, partnering with operations to reduce downtime, and contributing to Lean and 6S initiatives that drive innovation and quality.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of required personal protective equipment (PPE), to create a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Disassemble, troubleshoot, repair, or replace circuit boards and electronic controls involving time, speed, interlocks, sensors, solenoids, and servo-control regulators, as well as mechanical components such as spindles, shafts, gears, cams, and bushings.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, identifying and correcting excessive wear or material fatigue to minimize unplanned downtime and extend equipment life.
  • Train machine operators to perform simple preventive maintenance tasks—such as inspecting, cleaning, adjusting, and lubricating equipment—to promote shared ownership of reliability.
  • Create charts and graphs to collect, track, and communicate preventative maintenance (PM) and equipment performance data, supporting data-driven decision-making.
  • Participate in Lean projects, helping to identify waste, support continuous improvement, and maintain 6S and Lean Manufacturing standards across the facility.
  • Perform general maintenance to the interior and exterior of the facility, ensuring a clean, orderly, and well-maintained work environment.
  • Take part in physical inventory activities, supporting accurate materials management and inventory control.
  • Safely operate a forklift and other equipment as needed, in line with training and safety standards.
  • Assist with safety initiatives and improvement activities that reinforce a culture of integrity, responsibility, and care for teammates.
  • Work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, including standing or walking for long periods, manually handling 25–75 pounds by lifting, pushing, or pulling, performing repetitive hand motions, bending, stooping, reaching, squatting, climbing ladders, and performing overhead work as required.
  • Perform additional or updated duties as business needs evolve, demonstrating flexibility and openness to new tasks and technologies.
Who You Are:

You communicate clearly and respectfully with colleagues, using your strong verbal communication skills to share information, ask questions, and support safe, efficient operations. You are comfortable reading and interpreting specifications, plans, drawings, shop aids, instructions, and examples, and you use this information to solve problems and complete maintenance tasks accurately. You work independently, understanding workflow and prioritizing your work to meet the needs of the plant while remaining calm and focused in a fast-paced environment.

You build collaborative relationships with machine operators and other team members, training and supporting them in preventive maintenance and safety initiatives so that everyone can contribute to equipment reliability and continuous improvement.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Hands-on maintenance experience, typically including at least one year in a maintenance-focused role or similar practical experience.
  • Strong verbal communication skills to work effectively with peers, leaders, and operators.
  • Ability to read and interpret specifications, plans, drawings, shop aids, instructions, and examples to understand and perform maintenance and repair work.
  • Ability to work independently, understand workflow, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
