Responsibilities
- Conduct in-process and final inspections of automotive components and assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer specifications.
- Perform dimensional checks, visual inspections, and functional tests using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Monitor production processes to identify potential defects and recommend corrective actions to prevent quality issues.
- Assist with root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action (CA) processes to address non-conformances and implement effective solutions.
- Document and maintain detailed inspection records, quality reports, and test data in accordance with company procedures.
- Support first‑piece, in‑process, and final inspections to ensure compliance with control plans and quality guidelines.
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and work instructions.
- Manage Change Point Control System, monitor and maintain hold area, and sort and contain product as needed.
- Participate in internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall product quality and process efficiency.
- Provide training and guidance to production operators on quality standards and inspection procedures.
- Ensure compliance with ISO‑14001, IATF 16949, and other applicable quality standards.
- 2+ years of experience in quality inspection, quality control, or a related role in automotive manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of quality standards, control plans, and inspection techniques.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges).
- Familiarity with ISO‑14001, IATF 16949, and other automotive quality standards.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Strong problem‑solving skills with experience in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with quality management software (preferred).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team‑oriented environment.
- Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50lbs, and work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
- Manufacturing floor environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and various materials.
- Requires standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Full‑time, with potential for overtime based on production needs.
- Shifts may include days, evenings, or weekends.
