Staff Accountant

Description

Key Responsibilities:

- Process vendor invoices and manage payments in accordance with company policies.

- Track, process, and reconcile payments and expenditures (credit card transactions, purchase orders, invoices, statements, checks, and refunds).

- Validate invoice accuracy prior to payment processing and ensure proper coding and approvals.

- Communicate effectively with employees, vendors, and stakeholders at all levels.

- Serve as backup for Accounts Receivable Associate as needed.

- Prepare and present reports as requested by the Controller.

- Identify and recommend process improvements for the Accounts Payable function.

- Maintain accurate profiles for vendors, suppliers, and partners.

- Support GL control and analyze assigned balance sheet accounts.

- Prepare recurring and correcting journal entries; perform bank reconciliations.

- Take on additional tasks as assigned by the Controller according to skill set and capacity.

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or Business Administration, or associate's degree in accounting with demonstrated GL experience.

- At least 4 years of relevant General Ledger (GL) analysis and control experience.

- Minimum of 2 years' experience in Accounts Payable within a dynamic environment.

- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles (GAAP) and accounting.

- Prefer familiarity with Net Suite, experience with Demand Bridge a plus.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.

- Excellent multitasking, organizational, and communication skills.

- Team-oriented with the ability to work independently.
