Director of Accounting

CPA Required | Manufacturing | Hybrid - Raleigh, NC

We're seeking a Director of Accounting to serve as a strategic and hands on leader responsible for overseeing the company's accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance.

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee and execute key accounting activities across GL, AP, AR, payroll, inventory, fixed assets, and revenue recognition
• Financial reporting and consolidation support, including reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements prepared under US GAAP.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors and manage the annual audit process
• Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Partner closely with FP&A, Treasury, Legal, and other teams to support business initiatives
• Support ERP implementations, upgrades, and system enhancements impacting accounting workflows
• Perform technical accounting research and prepare white papers and documentation as needed
• Monitor new accounting standards and assess their impact on financial reporting

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA required
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Public accounting experience strongly preferred
• Industry experience in pharmaceuticals or life sciences is a plus
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and internal control frameworks (SOX, COSO)
• Experience working within ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Net Suite) and advanced Excel skills
• Comfortable operating independently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
