Staff Accountant

We are recruiting a Staff Accountant for a rapidly growing organization in the RTP area. This role offers broad exposure across the accounting function and direct interaction with leadership. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a dynamic, evolving environment.

• Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting schedules
• Maintain general ledger accuracy across multiple entities, ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal policies
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations, including cash, prepaids, accruals, fixed assets, and other key accounts
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including vendor reconciliations and transaction review
• Manage weekly cash reconciliations and assist with cash flow tracking and analysis
• Contribute to preparation of internal financial statements and assist with budget-to-actual variance analysis
• Support internal controls and process improvement initiatives to enhance accuracy and efficiency
• Participate in audit support, special projects, and ad hoc reporting as requested by leadership

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
• 2+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within a multi-entity or growth-oriented environment
• Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles
• Advanced Excel skills and comfort working within integrated accounting systems
