Accounts Receivable & Billing Specialist
J. Harlen Company, Inc. is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable & Billing Specialist to handle daily invoicing, payment processing, customer account maintenance, and sales tax compliance.
Key Responsibilities:- Post and apply customer payments (checks, ACH, credit cards)
- Generate and send customer invoices daily and statements monthly
- Maintain customer accounts in Prophet 21, Webstore, and Avalara software
- Process refunds, chargebacks, and related account adjustments
- Manage sales tax exemption certificates and tax adjustments
- Reconcile Avalara sales tax reporting to the General Ledger monthly
- Assist with cash deposits and other accounting support tasks
- 2+ years of AR/billing or accounting experience
- ERP experience preferred (Prophet 21 a plus)
- Avalara or sales tax compliance experience preferred
Strong attention to detail and Excel skills
