This temporary position is with NC Commerce – Workforce Solutions, located at 313 Chapanoke Rd., Raleigh NC, Wake County.
Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $25.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).
NC Commerce Workforce Solutions is seeking a savvy Accounts Payable temp. This position is located in the Accounts Payable and Purchase Order Section of the Finance Unit. The selected candidate for this role will:
Handle Direct Payments and Purchase Order activities for the division: 22 Workforce Boards, and over 65 Career Centers, ensuring payments are correct and paid in compliance in a timely basis to vendors in accordance with established guidelines and within the Division of Workforce Solutions (DWS) policies and procedures.
Work with the Financial Accounting and Reporting System (FARS) and reports program XCloud as well as E-Procurement System.
Verify, code, maintain and report on the manual and automated records relating to fiscal or business data.
Receive Purchase Orders and Direct Payments daily in the AP/PO section for processing and filing upon completion of payment process.
Have personal contact with vendors, division personnel and all levels of management.
Be responsible for proper File Maintenance and Management Records and Reports, and Office Equipment Operations.

Education and Experience

Associate’s degree in Accounting from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of experience in accounting; or High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and four years of experience in accounting work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
