Accounting Manager, Financial Reporting
The Manager, Corporate Accounting is responsible for the accounting for corporate transactions, ensuring that all transactions are accurately recorded, reconciled, and reported. This role also involves collaborating with all corporate departments to properly account for corporate expenses.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the accounting for all third-party expenses for the corporate entity, working cross-functionally with all corporate departments to understand third-party vendor spend in order to ensure timely and accurate expense accruals.
- Oversee all intercompany transactions with international counter parties including invoice processing, recording journal entries and sending wires to settle balances.
- Administer CoStar lease accounting system.
- Support accounts payable processing by coding invoices and managing approval workflows.
- Work with FP&A to develop cost center forecasts.
- Prepare valuations for new equity compensation grants and record related stock compensation expense; prepare 10‑K disclosures related to Stock Based Compensation including all supporting workings.
- Work with internal and external auditors to provide necessary documentation and explanations for annual audits.
- Assist in the development of staff and senior accountants.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and implement efficiencies.
- Complete additional accounting related ad‑hoc projects as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification is desirable.
- A minimum of 7 years of accounting experience, with specific experience in benefits accounting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with various levels of management.
