We are recruiting an Accounting and Reporting Manager for a growing company – this is a new role due to growth. This is a unique opportunity to help build accounting processes, reporting infrastructure, and internal controls from the ground up while working alongside an experienced leadership team. This position offers broad exposure across financial reporting, audit support, accounting operations, and process improvement, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to accelerate their career within a high‑growth organization.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review recurring financial reporting packages, reconciliations, and supporting schedules to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to support month‑end and year‑end close activities while maintaining compliance with GAAP and applicable insurance accounting standards.
  • Assist with external audits by preparing schedules, responding to auditor requests, and maintaining supporting documentation.
  • Reconcile financial activity, investigate discrepancies, and partner with internal teams to resolve outstanding items.
  • Develop, document, and enhance accounting policies, reporting procedures, and internal controls to support a scalable finance organization.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Finance, Operations, Technology, and other business partners to improve reporting accuracy and streamline workflows.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve the efficiency of accounting and financial reporting activities.
  • Support special projects related to systems implementations, process improvements, and organizational growth.
  • Contribute to the continued development of a best‑in‑class accounting function within a rapidly expanding business.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CPA in process preferred.
  • Three or more years of progressive accounting experience within the insurance industry or public accounting serving insurance clients is required.
  • Working knowledge of GAAP, statutory accounting principles, financial reporting, audit support, and account reconciliations.
