A well-established organization that continues to expand its footprint in managed IT, healthcare technology, audiovisual, and security solutions is hiring a Senior Accountant for the construction industry.
Job Title:
Senior Accountant (Construction Industry)
Salary: $95,000 - $100,000 per year.
Responsibilities- Preparation and consolidation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Analyzing and reporting on financial status, including income statement variances, communicating financial results to management, budget preparation and analysis.
- Overseeing the financial inventory control process.
- Improving systems and procedures and initiating corrective actions.
- Establishing and maintaining fiscal files and records to document transactions.
- Managing and complying with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
- Working closely with project management teams to create and optimize financial strategies.
- Performing budgeting and forecasting functions, including variance analysis and commentary.
- Assisting with the preparation of year‑end accounts and statutory accounts.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.
- Proven experience with annual budgeting and forecasting.
- Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with accounting software and databases.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
