Position Summary:

We are seeking an Accounting Manager to join a leading multi-entity organization with operations across the United States. This contract-to-hire opportunity will oversee daily accounting operations, lead the financial close process, ensure GAAP compliance, and partner with cross-functional teams to support strategic business objectives.

Essential Duties:

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Prepare accurate financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting team members.
• Partner with FP&A, payroll, tax, and operational teams.
• Maintain internal controls and recommend process improvements.
• Support audits, ERP initiatives, and special accounting projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5-7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• 2+ years of accounting leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience managing month-end close and account reconciliations.
• CPA preferred.
• Public accounting experience preferred.

Skills and Job-Specific

Competencies:

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience working with ERP and accounting systems.
• Sage Intacct experience is preferred.
• Ability to prepare and analyze financial reports.
• Experience performing account reconciliations.
• Knowledge of internal controls and accounting best practices.
• Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Experience using accounting automation and financial close management tools.
• Ability to lead, mentor, and develop a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Focus on identifying and implementing process improvements.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Travel Requirements: No travel will be required, unless at the client's discretion.

Salary Range: Solomon Edwards values your unique and individual experience and background. As such, we take a comprehensive approach when determining compensation for our roles. The compensation for this specific role is based on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to education, licensure and certifications, location, experience, and training. A reasonable estimate for the current hourly range for this role is $50 - 60.
