Dealership Accountant II - Holman North Carolina

Holman Automotive has an outstanding opportunity for a Dealership Accountant II to join our team in Raleigh/Cary, NC! This newly created role will help expand accounting capacity and strengthen our ability to partner with operations in supporting dealership performance and financial accuracy.

Job Responsibilities:

Manage accounting activity for assigned dealership(s) or business lines, ensuring assigned work is accurate, complete, timely, and properly supported.

Perform expanded operational accounting activity, including cash sales review and follow-up, manufacturer incentive posting and reconciliation, and factory invoice review support.

Process and coordinate street purchases, auction purchases, wholesale transactions, and related accounting activity.

Prepare, maintain, and own assigned schedules and reconciliations, including research and resolution of variances.

Complete month-end close tasks for assigned dealership(s), including required reconciliations, entries, and issue escalation.

Coordinate with centralized teams where responsibilities are shared and resolve handoff or documentation issues.

Train and support Dealership Accountant I team members; serve as first-level escalation for routine or moderately complex transactional questions.

Contribute to process improvement, workflow consistency, and improved documentation standards.

Independently own assigned accounting processes, schedules, reconciliations, and close activities.

Identify, research, and resolve more complex accounting issues with limited supervision.

Take ownership of accounting outcomes, reconciliation integrity, and financial statement support within assigned areas.

What are we looking for?

High school diploma or equivalent required; equivalent accounting experience may be considered in lieu of formal accounting education beyond this level.

Strong working knowledge of accounting principles, general ledger activity, schedules, reconciliations, documentation standards, and variance research.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple activities, meet deadlines, resolve routine-to-moderately complex issues independently, and train or support others.

Experienced accountant with approximately 5+ years of progressively responsible accounting experience, including ownership of reconciliations, close activities, issue resolution, and mentoring/training of less experienced team members.

Experience researching and resolving complex accounting discrepancies.

Compensation: $28 - $35/hour (depending on experience)#LI-SS3
