Position Summary

The Manager of Revenue Accounting is responsible for overseeing the daily execution of revenue accounting activities and supporting the end-to-end order-to-cash process. This role ensures accurate revenue recognition, timely financial reporting, compliance with U.S. GAAP and ASC 606, and strong financial controls across revenue operations. Reporting to the Director of Revenue Accounting & Financial Operations, the Manager partners closely with Finance, Operations, Commercial, Legal, IT, and other cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence, improve accounting processes, and support organizational growth.

The ideal candidate is a hands‑on accounting leader with strong technical accounting knowledge, leadership skills, and experience managing high-volume financial operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily revenue accounting operations, including billing, revenue recognition, collections support, cash application, reconciliations, and month‑end close activities.
  • Oversee the execution of the order‑to‑cash process while ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies.
  • Review customer contracts and collaborate with business partners to determine appropriate revenue recognition under ASC 606.
  • Prepare and review journal entries related to revenue, deferred revenue, accruals, reserves, and other revenue‑related accounts.
  • Perform and review complex account reconciliations and investigate variances to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Maintain compliance with U.S. GAAP, ASC 606, internal controls, and company accounting policies.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes by ensuring timely completion of assigned deliverables.
  • Assist with the development, implementation, and documentation of accounting policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase automation, and enhance efficiency across revenue accounting operations.
  • Partner with IT and Finance teams on ERP enhancements, system implementations, and process optimization initiatives.
  • Monitor key revenue accounting metrics and provide analysis to management to support informed business decisions.
  • Assist in preparing schedules and supporting documentation for internal and external audits.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX/internal control requirements and support remediation efforts when necessary.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop revenue accounting staff while fostering a collaborative, accountable, and continuous improvement culture.
  • Support special projects and strategic initiatives led by the Director of Revenue Accounting and Financial Operations.
Required Qualifications
  • Education Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • CPA preferred; CPA eligibility considered.
  • Experience 6+ years of progressive accounting experience with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
