Accounting Manager​/Supervisor

Job Description

Robert Half is recruiting for an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Manager to join their client's team. In this role, you will oversee the reconciliation of depository and operating disbursement bank accounts, establish cash accounting processes, and manage a team of cash accountants. Candidates must be located in North Carolina.

• Supervise and provide leadership to a team of cash accountants to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Oversee daily accounting management of corporate bank accounts for multiple legal entities.
• Implement cash accounting processes and establish new depository bank accounts.
• Collaborate with various departments to validate and approve all daily banking transactions.
• Ensure all account transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with company policies.
• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly bank account reconciliations.
• Review and approve journal entries during month-end close.
• Maintain the integrity and accuracy of the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers for bank accounts.
• Collaborate with other departments to improve communication and work towards common company goals.
• Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency within the group.
• Support the enforcement of internal controls and policies and implement standard operating procedures.
• Assist in reducing banking fees and transaction costs through periodic review of activities and associated expenses.
• Liaise with external auditors to provide required documentation and support upon request.

Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or Supervisor, with at least 3 years in the role.

Experience with creating financial statements.

Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.

In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.

Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, like Fresh Books and Quick Books.

BS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant.

Knowledge and experience with treasury functions preferred.
