Finance Business Partner: Operations & Growth Analytics

We are recruiting a Finance Business Partner for a rapidly growing company in the RTP/Durham area. This role blends accounting, financial analysis, and operational finance, serving as the primary finance partner for a dynamic business unit. You will work directly with Operations to ensure financial information is accurate and timely, while helping improve processes, strengthen reporting, and support continued growth. This is position offers broad exposure to business operations versus a traditional accounting role.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary finance partner supporting an operational business unit and its leadership team.
• Own key portions of the monthly close process, including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
• Partner with operations to analyze revenue, margins, operating expenses, inventory activity, and other key business metrics.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and ongoing financial planning activities.
• Review transactional data for completeness and accuracy while identifying trends and business insights.
• Support billing, vendor activity, reimbursements, and other operational finance processes.
• Prepare financial reporting packages and communicate results to both finance and operational leadership.
• Help identify opportunities to automate manual processes, improve reporting, and strengthen internal controls through technology and AI-enabled tools.
• Collaborate across accounting, finance, and operations to improve efficiency as the business continues to expand.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, CPA is a plus
• 2+ years of experience in public accounting, corporate accounting, financial analysis, or a combination of both.
• Experience supporting business operations, field teams, manufacturing, distribution, retail, project-based, or other operational environments is highly valued.
