Calling all Payroll professionals! Our client, a growing organization located in the Raleigh, NC area, is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their team. While working as the Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll and assisting with various payroll-related functions, including:
- Processing weekly, bi-weekly, and/or semi-monthly payroll using Paycom
- Reviewing payroll data for accuracy, including employee hours, earnings, deductions, benefits, and taxes
- Auditing payroll transactions and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner
- Maintaining employee payroll records and ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable regulations
- Processing new hires, terminations, status changes, garnishments, and direct deposit updates within Paycom
- Assisting employees and managers with payroll-related questions and issues
- Reconciling payroll reports, benefits deductions, and payroll-related general ledger accounts
- Supporting month-end and year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation and payroll audits
- Collaborating with Human Resources and Accounting to ensure accurate employee and payroll data
- Identifying opportunities to improve payroll processes and maximize system efficiencies within Paycom

To be considered for this position, you should have:- 2+ years of payroll processing experience
- Hands-on experience using Paycom required
- Strong understanding of payroll laws, tax with holdings, garnishments, and compliance requirements
- Experience processing multi-state payroll preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- CPP certification is a plus but not required
