- Develop a detailed understanding of client partnership agreements and apply provisions to tax deliverables
- Create and review tax carried interest calculations
- Review and validate Forms W-8
BEN, W-8
BEN-E, W-8
EXP, and W-8
IMY for treaty-based withholding tax claims - Prepare federal and state tax returns and supporting work papers
- Calculate quarterly estimated tax payments
- Research complex tax issues and respond to client inquiries
- Support ad-hoc tax compliance requests from clients, partners, and investors
- Prepare responses to federal and state tax notices
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax reviewers
- Review tax work papers and deliverables prepared by junior staff
- Provide training, mentorship, and supervision to less experienced accounting professionals
- Participate in special projects and department initiatives as assigned
