Job Description
OES Equipment, part of the DPR Family of Companies, is a fast‑paced supply and rental equipment company in the construction industry seeking a Purchasing Specialist
. This role is crucial to the success of the Procurement Team. The position is responsible for supporting the Purchasing Team by placing orders, processing transfers and invoices, ensuring data accuracy, and communicating with internal teams as well as external vendors.
- Create purchase orders, generate transfers, and process invoices
- PO generation for Mega Projects based on project plan
- Create transfers for Mega Projects as needed
- Process invoices as necessary
- Ensure branches have appropriate levels of stocked product based on corresponding project plan
- Review Inventory Valuation Report
- Review non‑stock sales for Mega Projects to determine opportunity to adjust stocking profile at each location
- Support and respond to purchasing‑related questions from the Mega Projects teams
- Email communication with vendors and/or branch team members as necessary
- Support requests via email and other internal communication tools
- Support issue resolution via email and other internal communication tools
- Additional ad‑hoc responsibilities as necessary
Skills and Abilities
- Strong attention to detail and well organized
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work in both a team environment and independently
- Positive interpersonal skills with a 'can‑do' attitude
- Construction supply and equipment industry knowledge
- Experience with Rental Man
- Experience with Coupa
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds if needed
