Position: Legal Assistant
Location: Raleigh, NC (Fully onsite)
Pay: $60,000 to $70,000/year
Experience: 5+ years of big law firm administrative experience.
Type: Full-time;
Direct Hire
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm
Greene Resources is seeking a Legal Assistant to join a growing and dynamic team!
Job Description:
- Manage attorney calendars, emails, and critical deadlines using Outlook
- Coordinate and schedule meetings, conference calls, Zoom calls, and depositions
- Prepare attorneys for meetings, conferences, and transactional matters
- Draft, format, edit, and proofread contracts, correspondence, and other legal documents
- Prepare exhibits and documentation for corporate and M&A transactions
- File legal documents with state and federal agencies, including the NC Secretary of State
- Handle administrative functions including conflict checks, opening/closing matters, engagement letters, time entry, expense reports, and travel coordination
- Communicate with clients regarding engagement letters, billing, collections, and documentation
- Organize and maintain electronic and paper client files and contact databases
- Leverage technology and efficient processes to support attorneys and improve workflow
Position Requirements:
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating as part of a team
- Strong decision-making skills with sound judgment and ability to know when to seek attorney input
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Comfortable working with numbers and basic bookkeeping tasks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Ability to prioritize tasks and identify the most efficient way to complete assignments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Professional demeanor when interacting with clients
- Adaptability and willingness to take ownership of the role
- Interest in growing into more substantive legal/paralegal responsibilities over time
