Description of WorkThis position requires specialized knowledge in the processing and application of information, documents, and/or materials. The majority of time is allocated to tasks that involve several steps and require the selection of the most appropriate action within procedural and operational guidelines. The role is different from the Administrative Associate because fewer general office or administrative tasks are performed.
Responsibilities- Verify data

- Summarize and reconcile financial data
- Manage records
- Review and process claims
- Collect and analyze data
- Conduct research
- Maintain inventory
- Perform personnel administration
- Collect or disburse funds
Potential specializations include payroll, student services, accounting, medical records, call center, statistical, and human resources.
Knowledge,Skills and Abilities
- Considerable knowledge of services, policies and procedures related to a program or area of specialization.
- Ability to demonstrate and apply this knowledge in performing administrative tasks and explaining information to clients, customers and staff.
- Knowledge of program policies, procedures and information systems for communication and processing information.
- Ability to compile, assimilate and organize printed and electronic information; apply data collection, storage, organization, manipulation and analysis.
- Proficiency with office equipment and relevant technology (software and systems) to meet organizational needs.
- Identify and understand issues, problems and opportunities; use effective approaches for selecting a course of action or developing solutions.
- Convey information and ideas clearly through various media to individuals or groups.
- Present ideas clearly and effectively in written form; adjust language or terminology to meet audience needs; use correct grammar, organization and structure.
High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of related administrative experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
