Student Success & Scholarship Program Coordinator
The Student Success & Scholarship Program Coordinator plays a vital role in advancing student success within the College of Education by facilitating the Undergraduate Scholarship Program and providing high-level administrative, operational, and programmatic support to the Assistant Dean for Student Success. This position is ideal for a collaborative, detail-oriented professional who enjoys improving processes, coordinating complex initiatives, and supporting programs that enhance the student experience.
Essential Job Duties
- Scholarship Program Management (40%)
- Lead the administration and coordination of the College's Undergraduate Scholarship Program, serving as the primary resource for scholarship processes and operations.
- Partner with Financial Aid, Advancement, academic departments, and campus colleagues to ensure effective scholarship administration and exceptional student service.
- Develop and enhance scholarship procedures, workflows, and communications that improve efficiency, compliance, and student access.
- Review scholarship eligibility, interpret university policies, resolve funding issues, and determine appropriate solutions for complex situations.
- Coordinate scholarship outreach and facilitate information sessions to help prospective and current students navigate scholarship opportunities.
- Prepare reports, analyses, and recommendations for the Student Scholarship & Awards Committee to support informed scholarship decisions.
- Maintain accurate scholarship records and reporting across university systems while ensuring data integrity and compliance.
- Identify opportunities to improve scholarship operations and implement solutions that strengthen student success and program effectiveness.
- Provide operational guidance and expertise to college leadership on scholarship administration and related policies.
- Student & Stakeholder Support (30%)
- Provide exceptional customer service to students, faculty, staff, alumni, and external partners with professionalism, empathy, and discretion, while supporting communications and operational processes within the Student Success unit.
- Serve as a trusted resource by interpreting university policies and proactively helping resolve student questions and concerns related to scholarships, student success initiatives and operational processes.
- Exercise sound judgment when addressing sensitive or complex issues and determine when additional guidance or escalation is needed.
- Build collaborative relationships across campus and within the community to support scholarship administration, student engagement and student success initiatives.
- Coordinate undergraduate student employment processes, including PEP and Federal Work-Study opportunities.
- Coordinate communications, reports, meeting materials, and supporting documentation to facilitate Student Success initiatives, committee work, and onboarding to improve overall unit operations.
- Administrative & Event Support (30%)
- Provide administrative and operational support to the Assistant Dean for Student Success, including calendar management, scheduling, travel coordination, reports, presentations, and financial documentation and other leadership support materials.
- Coordinate communications and collaborative efforts with the Dean's Office and internal and external partners.
- Support strategic initiatives, special projects, and operational planning that advance the Student Success unit mission, providing administrative and operational support to the Assistant Dean and Student Success staff as needed to ensure effective program and office operations.
- Help create a welcoming, responsive environment by assisting students, faculty, staff, and visitors to the college and within the Dean's Suite.
- Assist with the day-to-day operations of the office by monitoring and restocking office and shared-space supplies, help maintain organized and welcoming common areas, kitchens, and meeting spaces, and provide rotating phone and front desk coverage.
- Assist with the execution of college-wide and Student Success unit events, including but not limited to: scholarship events, commencement, student engagement programs, community-building events, and other special programs in the Dean's Suite or Student Success office.
Other Responsibilities
Perform other duties that support the mission and strategic priorities of the Student Success Office and the College of Education.
Qualifications
Minimum Experience/Education - Bachelor's degree; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting multiple programs, projects, teams, or operational areas simultaneously. Familiarity with Pack Assist, financial aid systems, scholarship management platforms, or similar student support technologies.
