Administrative Support Specialist for the College of Education
This position serves as a key member of the College of Education Dean's Office administrative operations team and provides administrative, operational, and programmatic support to college leadership. The position supports the Assistant Dean for Professional Education and Accreditation, the Associate Dean of Research and Innovation, and the Assistant Dean for Operations through the coordination of complex administrative functions, operational processes, communications, scheduling, facilities coordination, document management, records administration, and special projects that support the strategic and day-to-day operations of the college.
The individual serves as a central point of contact for faculty, staff, students, university partners, and external stakeholders and must effectively interpret and communicate university procedures, and Policies, Regulations, and Rules (PRRs). As part of the Dean's Office administrative team, this position participates in a rotating on-site coverage schedule with other Administrative Associates and plays a critical role in fostering a welcoming, responsive, customer-focused, and professional office environment.
Responsibilities include greeting visitors, responding to complex inquiries, managing communications, and ensuring high-quality administrative support and operational coordination across the college.
This position is open for current NC State Employees only, permanent or temporary.
Minimum Experience/Education
- High School Diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
