Position: Peer Leader Program Assistant (Part-Time, Permanent)

Pay Grade:
Assistant 6

The Peer Leader Program Assistant plays a pivotal role in supporting the Student Success Peer Leader program. This position involves managing administrative tasks, organizing events, and fostering communication among Peer Leaders, Student Success Coaches, and the Director of Student Success. As a key liaison, the Program Assistant contributes to a collaborative and engaging environment that promotes student achievement and community building.,

  • Plan and execute events, including classroom presentations, tabling sessions, trainings, and workshops
  • Communicate updates effectively with Peer Leaders and Care Center staff as needed
  • Organize and prepare for campus outreach events and promotional activities
  • Handle logistics such as reserving spaces, managing event supplies, and preparing materials
  • Coordinate event schedules, send reminders for meetings and deadlines, and take accurate meeting minutes
  • Manage social media platforms to promote events and showcase program highlights

Support the creation of reports, materials, and visual displays as necessary

Facilitate collaboration and community engagement among Peer Leaders through regular communication and coordinated activities

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of academic and co-curricular resources

Lead icebreakers, panel discussions, and group activities with both Peer Leaders and new students

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Demonstrated excellent customer service skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Intermediate skills with MS Office products

Minimum Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent

Experience in student support or student services roles

Preferences

Previous experience as a Student Success Peer Leader

Experience with community college policies and procedures

Two years of customer service experience
