Job Summary:
The Risk Management Associate plays a key role in managing and processing claims from both internal and external sources. This position ensures the efficient flow of communication across departments and external partners, while maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion.
- Claims Management:
- Review and enter Workers' Compensation (WC) and General Liability (GL) claims into the Risk Management Information System (RMIS).
- Assign claims to appropriate adjusters and attach supporting documentation.
- Communication & Coordination:
- Receive, screen, and route incoming calls, mail, and emails from employees, vendors, and customers.
- Monitor the Risk Management inbox, respond promptly to inquiries, and escalate issues as needed.
- Act as a liaison between internal departments and external stakeholders.
- Video Request Handling:
- Track and manage video requests from external agencies and internal teams.
- Retrieve and copy store videos, and distribute them to requesting parties.
- Legal Process Support:
- Process Service of Process documents from the Registered Agent to ensure timely handling of lawsuits by adjusters.
- Additional Duties:
- Support special projects and training sessions as assigned by the Manager.
Knowledge, Skills and Other Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Proficiency in administrative tasks including typing (40–45 wpm), filing, data entry, and customer service.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows OS.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to gather, assess, organize, and verify data accurately.
