At Catapult, we are supporting our member, the NC Chamber, in their search for an Events Sponsorship Manager. This is a full time, hybrid role in Raleigh, NC.

Summary:The Events Sponsorship Manager drives the growth of non-dues revenue by leading a strategic sponsorship portfolio that supports the Chamber's statewide mission and high-impact events.
This individual is responsible for cultivating strong, lasting relationships with new and existing sponsors, aligning partnership opportunities with organizational priorities, and achieving annual revenue targets. Working closely with the Events, Marketing, and Member Relations teams, this role develops integrated sponsorship strategies that enhance event experiences while strengthening the Chamber's membership and investor pipeline.
The ideal candidate is a proactive, relationship-driven sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and understands how to translate event engagement into meaningful sponsor value.
Responsibilities:Sponsorship Strategy & Revenue Growth
- Lead sponsorship sales efforts for assigned Chamber events, with full ownership of revenue goals
- Develop and execute strategic outreach plans aligned with organizational objectives
- Identify and pursue new sponsorship opportunities through research, networking, cold calling, social media, and other prospecting methods
- Conduct market research to evaluate sponsor needs and emerging trends
- Conceptualize and develop new sponsorship products that provide strong ROI for investors
- Analyze sponsorship trends and use insights to strengthen messaging, engagement, and sales strategy
- Build and maintain strong relationships with members, non-members, and aligned organizations
- Serve as primary liaison for sponsors before, during, and after events
- Deliver a concierge-level sponsor experience, including proactive communications and post-event engagement
- Collaborate with the Membership team to convert non-member sponsors into Chamber members
- Represent the Chamber professionally and positively at events and meetings
- Own sponsorship sales activities within the organization's CRM system
- Grow and maintain the Chamber's marketing database by researching and adding new prospects
- Develop, present, and deliver sponsorship proposals and related materials
- Coordinate closely with Events and Marketing teams to ensure seamless sponsor deliverables
- Assist with proofing sponsor signage and event collateral
- Manage financial components of sponsorship accounts, including invoices and confirmations
- Work collaboratively across External Affairs, Events, Marketing, and Membership teams
- Attend Chamber staff meetings and required organizational events
- Support additional projects and initiatives as assigned
Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field required
- Five or more years of experience in marketing, public relations, or sales required
- Direct experience in sponsorship sales and/or in association, nonprofit, chamber, or event-based environments preferred
- Strong knowledge of the sales process and proven ability to move prospects through the pipeline from lead to close
- Exceptional relationship-building and account management skills
- Experience using CRM systems and sales/marketing databases (e.g., Zoom Info)
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple sponsorship campaigns simultaneously
- Excellent written, verbal, and active listening communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Ability to work independently in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
- Travel required for meetings or events within NC a few times a year; typically, no more than one night at a time
