The Opportunity
Join Hitachi Energy's Grid Integration team in a role where strategy, collaboration, and commercial insight come together to support the future of the power industry. As a Tendering Manager, you will help transform customer requirements into competitive, high-quality proposals that support business growth and customer success. Working at the intersection of sales, engineering, and operations, you will coordinate technical and commercial inputs, develop pricing strategies, review tender requirements, and support bid evaluations.
You will engage with customers, collaborate across multiple functions, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen tendering excellence. This role offers an opportunity to build both commercial and technical expertise while gaining exposure across different areas of the organization. Your work will have a direct impact on delivering high-quality solutions, supporting positive customer outcomes, and helping shape future opportunities within the evolving power grid industry.
You'll Make An Impact
- Review tender documents to understand customer requirements and scope
- Prepare accurate, competitive quotations using cost analysis and benchmarks
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather technical and commercial inputs
- Manage tender timelines to ensure high-quality, on-time submissions
- Analyze bid opportunities and contribute to bid/no-bid decisions
- Identify and assess risks in bids, contracts, and estimates plus present risk reviews
- Maintain clear, compliant documentation and perform quality checks
- Engage with customers and suppliers to clarify requirements and support a positive experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical is preferable).
- Process orientated, disciplined, structured, and high committed to the results.
- Proactive in establishing effective relationships and engaging with various team members.
- Ability to travel 10-15%.
