Events and Ministry Coordinator
Apartment Life | Part-Time | Northeast Raleigh, NC
Position OverviewPay: $20/hour, up to 16 hours per month
Location: Northeast Raleigh, NC
Events and Ministry Coordinators create an excellent Apartment Life (AL) experience for residents and staff in an apartment community. Coordinators combine their passion for AL’s mission with strong organizational and relational skills to plan engaging events, communicate with residents, and provide genuine care and hospitality.
We are seeking mission-minded, highly relational, and responsible individuals who enjoy meeting new people, planning social activities, and helping others experience God’s unconditional love. This role provides an opportunity to practice "business as a ministry" by combining excellence in service with loving your neighbors well.
Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesPlan and host 2 events each month for apartment residentsBuild connections among residents and connect them with local services and businessesProvide caring support to residents and staff with the help of volunteers and community partnersEncourage residents to share positive experiences through online reviewsCreate marketing materials such as monthly calendars, event flyers, and social media postsManage the event budgetPrepare monthly summariesMeet with staff and the Program Director for planning, equipping, and developmentEngage volunteers, vendors, and community partners to maximize impactRequired QualificationsMust be 18 years of age or olderLegally eligible to work in the United StatesBasic English fluency for creating marketing materials and completing required reportsCurrent driver’s license and liability insuranceReliable transportation for event shopping and vendor/community connectionsAble to use stairs, bend, sit, stand, stoop, and carry up to 25 lbs.Available to work weekly hours, primarily evenings and weekendsAble to commit to a minimum 1-year term serving in the apartment communityPreferred QualificationsPrevious event planning experienceExperience managing a budgetExperience using social mediaA network of potential volunteers, vendors, or community partnersAbout Apartment LifeTo learn more about Apartment Life, explore their website, Facebook page, and Instagram page.
