DescriptionThe Professional Relations Contracting & Onboarding Specialist – North America will work to enhance Align’s leadership position in the dental and orthodontic industry by supporting the integration of new educational partners into the Align education ecosystem in North America.
Role expectationsIn this role, you will…
- The Professional Relations Contracting & Onboarding Specialist – North America plays a crucial operational role on the Clinical Education team, responsible for orchestrating the end-to-end contracting and onboarding process for Align’s network of professional speakers/educators and faculty, concentrating on operational execution
- Nurture new and existing relationships with regional, national, and international speakers, Align faculty and Key Experts in the General Dentistry and Ortho Channels
- Work closely with Legal and Operations teams to prepare and execute contracts, communicate Fair Market Value (FMV) honoraria rates, and maintain accurate records of all arrangements.
- Serve as a liaison to our faculty and speakers for scheduling and logistics, coordinating event dates and providing support on planning and invoicing processes
- Work collaboratively across internal teams to ensure the professional relations operations run smoothly. Partner very closely with the Professional Relations Program Manager to align on program needs and priorities
- Liaise with Align Leadership, Legal, Compliance, Finance, Procurement, Marketing and Events teams on a regular basis.
In this role, you’ll need …
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Healthcare Management
- 2+ years of experience in roles related to contract administration, project coordination, or healthcare operations. Experience specifically in the medical device, dental, or pharmaceutical industry is strongly preferred, as is prior exposure to managing engagements with healthcare professionals.
- Familiarity with Key Expert (KE) or speaker management in a regulated industry would be a plus.
- Dental industry a plus, with demonstrated ability to understand the practice of dentistry and orthodontics
Solid understanding of basic legal and compliance concepts relevant to working with healthcare providers and be comfortable reviewing the business terms of contracts and following standard operating procedures for approvals. Knowledge of Fair Market Value guidelines for clinician compensation and regulations like the Sunshine Act (Open Payments) is highly valued.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational ability as this role handles numerous contracts and event timelines simultaneously, so the capacity to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment is critical.
Demonstrated project management skills are required; formal project management training (PMP or similar) is a nice-to-have.
Strong relationship-building skills, with proven ability to build and maintain partnerships with Sales, Marketing and Key Experts
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, specifically the ability to communicate clearly and professionally, are a must. Strong interpersonal skills are essential – you will build relationships with our speakers and internal partners, so being responsive, courteous, and solution-oriented will set you up for success.
