** About the Opportunity*
* Jefferson Wells, a Sikich Company, is seeking a Senior Compliance Advisor to support a large-scale compliance program transformation initiative for a healthcare-focused client in the Raleigh area. This is a highly visible consulting engagement focused on helping operational leaders implement and sustain a comprehensive compliance framework designed to support adherence with federal and state regulatory requirements.

This role is ideal for professionals with experience in healthcare compliance, internal audit, risk management, regulatory compliance, or governance programs who enjoy serving as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders. The successful candidate will help guide process owners through the implementation of new compliance processes, provide practical recommendations, and drive adoption across the organization.

** Key Responsibilities*
* + Advise business and operational leaders on the implementation of compliance program requirements and controls.

+ Partner with process owners to assess current-state compliance practices and identify opportunities for improvement.

+ Coach stakeholders on compliance expectations, regulatory requirements, and framework adoption.

+ Evaluate policies, procedures, and operational processes to ensure alignment with organizational compliance objectives.

+ Facilitate compliance assessments, risk reviews, and control evaluations.

+ Identify compliance gaps and assist process owners in developing corrective action plans.

+ Monitor compliance program activities and provide recommendations to strengthen governance and oversight.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, legal, compliance, audit, HR, and other business functions.

+ Support documentation, reporting, and communication related to compliance initiatives.

+ Serve as a trusted advisor capable of translating regulatory and compliance requirements into practical business processes.

** Required Qualifications*
* + Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

+ Experience in healthcare compliance, internal audit, regulatory compliance, risk management, governance, or a related field.

+ Experience working within highly regulated environments.

+ Strong understanding of compliance programs, internal controls, risk assessment, and regulatory requirements.

+ Proven ability to influence and coach stakeholders at various organizational levels.

+ Excellent communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.

+ Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and consultative abilities.

+ Ability to assess situations, "read the room," and provide practical, business-focused recommendations.

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

** Preferred Qualifications*
* + Healthcare industry experience.

+ Experience supporting hospital, health system, payer, or healthcare-related compliance programs.

+

Experience with federal and state regulatory compliance requirements.

+ Service Now experience is a plus but not required.

+ Experience in operations, process improvement, or front-line business functions is beneficial.

+ Consulting or advisory experience preferred.
