St. David’s School is seeking enthusiastic, caring, and mission‑driven Camp Counselors to support our summer camp programming. Camp Counselors play a vital role in creating a joyful, safe, and memorable experience for students by leading activities, supervising groups, and modeling Christ‑centered character throughout the day.

The ideal candidate brings an energetic and positive demeanor, a genuine love for children, and a commitment to fostering a fun, engaging, and spiritually encouraging environment.

Summer Camp Counselor

St. David’s School – Raleigh, NC – Summer 2026

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, supervise and engage groups of children in daily camp activities, rotations, and games.
  • Participate in all theme days.
  • Model and promote a safe, respectful, and Christ‑centered camp culture.
  • Lead activities with enthusiasm, creativity, and flexibility.
  • Support students’ social, emotional, and spiritual growth, and ensure their physical safety.
  • Assist with transitions, attendance, daily routines, and behavior expectations.
  • Communicate effectively with camp staff, leadership, and families when needed.
  • Help set up, clean up, and maintain organized program areas.
  • Uphold the mission, values, and standards of St. David’s School in all interactions.
  • Fulfills other necessary responsibilities as they arise to provide participants with safe, high‑quality programming, instruction, and supervision.
Qualifications
  • Experience working with children (school, camp, church, or similar setting).
  • High energy, positive attitude, and a genuine love for working with kids.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lead activities, games, and group experiences with enthusiasm.
  • Dependable, responsible, and committed to safety.
  • Willingness to integrate Christian character and service into daily camp life.
Position Details
  • Seasonal Full Time summer position – 35 hrs weekly
  • Flexible weekly scheduling based on camp sessions
  • Training provided – Including CPR Certification
  • Supportive, mission‑aligned work environment
