Job Description

We are seeking a Construction Administrator with a strong understanding of MEP building systems. The ideal candidate will have a solid grasp of construction practices and engineering principles related to HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems, along with a strong understanding of industry standards and deliverables within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry.

In this role, you will oversee and support a variety of construction projects, working closely with project owners, designers, and contractors to ensure work aligns with design intent and project requirements. You will be responsible for monitoring construction activities, reviewing documentation, and ensuring compliance throughout all project phases.

This is a Permanent Position.

Travel: 50%
Responsibilities
  • Review design documents to ensure compliance with project requirements and design intent.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress and verify installation quality.
  • Prepare detailed field reports documenting site conditions, progress, and issues.
  • Review and manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, and payment applications.
  • Coordinate with internal design teams and external project stakeholders.
  • Identify and help resolve on-site construction issues using practical field knowledge.
  • Ensure construction activities align with applicable codes, standards, and contract documents.
  • Participate in project meetings throughout all phases from pre-construction through closeout.
Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of construction administration processes, including submittals, RFIs, change orders, and pay applications.
  • Familiarity with all phases of construction from pre-construction through project closeout.
  • Ability to document site conditions and produce clear, accurate field reports.
  • Skilled in resolving on-site issues using sound construction judgment and experience.
