Finish Superintendent - Raleigh​/Durham, NC

Hamel Builders, Inc. is a well-established mid-Atlantic general contractor specializing in large-scale multifamily construction. We are seeking an experienced Finish Superintendent to assist with day-to-day field operations on a construction project in the Raleigh/Durham, NC region.

This role is ideal for a hands‑on field leader who thrives on organization, accountability, and teamwork, and who takes ownership of jobsite execution, safety, quality, and schedule performance.

As Finish Superintendent, you will assist in the setup, coordination, and daily management of all finish trades, working closely with Superintendents, Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and subcontractors.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assists the Superintendent with job site setup and the daily running of all project site activities.
• Performs all tasks of the Superintendent, as required.
• Monitors and enforces construction schedules and updates.
• Assists in managing and monitoring the day‑to‑day subcontractor, vendor, etc. activities on site.
• Contacts subcontractors and their offices, as needed, to maintain schedule, manpower, etc.
• Assists in the scheduling and coordination of all material deliveries and updating material control logs accordingly.
• Responsible for all on‑going quality control and continuously minimizing final punch lists.
• Prepares and updates daily construction reports and submits daily.
• Assists in control of jobsite cleanliness, organization, and safety.
• Manages subcontractors according to contract scopes.
• Works with the Superintendent to resolve problems as they arise.
• Maintains relationships with Owners, tenants, Architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and all prospective clients, via their jobsite activities.
• Ensures that units are punched and turned over on schedule.
• Prepares detailed punch lists for subcontractors prior to Owner/ Architect walks.
• Holds weekly subcontractor meetings with foreman of the trades to review issues, schedule, safety, etc.
• Effectively manages all labor and punch out carpenter labor for the job.
• Maintains material control of all materials purchased.

Proven experience as a Finish Superintendent on multifamily or large‑scale construction projects

Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills

Ability to proactively manage multiple trades and priorities in a fast‑paced environment

Commitment to jobsite safety, quality, and schedule adherence

Reliable, self‑motivated, and team‑oriented approach

Extensive construction experience required (multifamily preferred)

Ability to read and interpret construction documents and schedules

Willingness to travel as projects require

Must be based in or willing to work throughout the Raleigh/Durham, NC area
