Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead and oversee field operations for commercial interior and construction projects. This role is responsible for ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and hands-on experience coordinating subcontractors, schedules, and daily jobsite activities.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all onsite construction activities to ensure projects are executed in accordance with contract requirements, specifications, and quality standards.
Plan, coordinate, and direct daily field operations while maintaining project schedules and productivity goals.
Monitor project progress and proactively address issues that may impact schedule, budget, quality, or safety.
Maintain and manage project documentation, including daily reports, timekeeping records, schedule updates, RFIs, meeting notes, and correspondence.
Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspections, and material deliveries to support efficient project execution.
Implement and maintain project schedules, ensuring upcoming milestones and critical activities remain on track.
Promote and enforce jobsite safety, health, and cleanliness standards while maintaining compliance with applicable regulations.
Conduct and participate in pre-construction meetings, progress meetings, safety meetings, and project coordination sessions.
Collaborate with project managers, clients, architects, engineers, inspectors, and trade partners to ensure successful project delivery.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Superintendent, Foreman, or Construction Manager in commercial construction environments.
Experience managing interior construction, drywall, framing, finishing, or related trades preferred.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, safety practices, and quality control procedures.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documents.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office applications is preferred.
