, you'll play a vital role in ensuring construction quality while enjoying a supportive environment committed to your professional development. - Analyze Plans and Specifications: Review project requirements thoroughly before heading to the field, ensuring clarity and precision in execution.
- Field and Lab Testing: Perform accurate tests on construction materials, documenting your results and observations in detail.
- Leverage Technology: Use Metafield and other tools to efficiently manage and organize project data.
- Ensure Compliance: Conduct inspections following International Building Code (IBC) standards to maintain structural integrity.
- Collaborate and Communicate: Work closely with contractors, managers, and clients, providing updates and addressing project needs proactively.
- A High School diploma/GED
- 0‑2 years of experience in construction testing/inspections of soil, concrete, masonry, and/or asphalt materials
- One(1) or more active certifications, a plus:
American Concrete Institute (ACI):
Field Testing Grade I;
Strength Testing Technician;
Laboratory Technician
International Code Council (ICC):
Special Inspector (Reinforced Concrete, Masonry, Soils)
DOT Certifications in the fields of Aggregate, Conventional Density, Asphalt, and Concrete - Effective communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing) using the English language
- Math skills with a basic understanding of weight, volume, pressure, and units of measure
- You can proficiently complete data entry into multiple software applications on a smart device, using Microsoft Office and email
You are willing and able to perform the physical demands of this position with the use of Company‑provided Personal Protective Equipment such as:
- Working outdoors the majority of the time in varying weather conditions
- Walking over rough, uneven terrain and standing for potentially up to 12 hours a day
- Routinely lifting and carrying 40‑50lbs (field/laboratory samples and equipment)
- Maneuvering field equipment safely, such as a loaded wheelbarrow, on uneven ground around active construction sites
