We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Estimator to join a growing civil construction and site development team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career, including recent graduates, who is interested in building a long-term career in estimating.
This individual will support the estimating team in preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial and residential site development projects while gaining hands-on experience in civil construction estimating processes.
Compensation
Target compensation range: $70,000 to $90,000 annually
- Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications
- Assist in preparing detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for civil and site development projects
- Review plans, specifications, geotechnical reports, and bid documents
- Support analysis of labor, equipment, material, and subcontractor pricing
- Help solicit and organize subcontractor and supplier quotes
- Assist in preparing bid proposals and supporting documentation
- Work with project managers and operations teams to ensure estimate accuracy
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and occasional site visits
- Maintain organized estimating files and bid tracking logs
- Learn to identify value engineering and cost-saving opportunities
- 1 to 3 years of experience in civil construction, site development, grading, excavation, utilities, or related exposure
- Recent graduates in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field strongly encouraged to apply
- Exposure to estimating concepts or internships in civil construction preferred
- AGTEK experience is a plus but not required for junior candidates
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Basic understanding of earthwork, underground utilities, grading, and site development preferred
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
