Commercial Construction Superintendent- Healthcare

Diamond Peak Recruiting is partnering with a leading general contractor to identify an experienced Healthcare Superintendent for large-scale healthcare construction projects in the Raleigh, NC market.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly respected builder with a strong healthcare portfolio and a long-term pipeline of projects throughout North Carolina. The ideal candidate will have experience leading field operations on complex healthcare projects, including occupied renovations, additions, and ground-up construction.

The Healthcare Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing all field operations, subcontractor coordination, safety, quality control, and schedule management on healthcare construction projects. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining strong relationships with owners, healthcare staff, and project stakeholders.

• Lead day-to-day field operations on healthcare construction projects
• Manage project schedules, site logistics, and construction sequencing
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel
• Conduct subcontractor coordination and planning meetings
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with project plans, specifications, and quality standards
• Manage project safety programs and enforce site safety requirements
• Coordinate shutdowns, tie-ins, and work within occupied healthcare environments
• Maintain daily reports, project documentation, and field records
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Owners, Architects, Engineers, and Healthcare Facility Representatives
• Identify and resolve field issues to maintain project productivity and schedule milestones
• Mentor Assistant Superintendents and field staff

• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent on commercial construction projects
• Proven experience managing large healthcare construction projects
• Experience with hospital renovations, additions, or ground-up healthcare facilities
• Experience on projects valued at $15M+
• Strong understanding of healthcare construction requirements, infection control procedures, and occupied facility operations
• Ability to coordinate multiple trades and maintain detailed project schedules
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with RFIs, submittals, document management, and construction technology platforms
• OSHA 30 certification preferred
