Position:
Pre-Construction (Pre-Con) Manager

, an award-winning design-build and construction firm serving military and federal clients globally, is seeking an experienced and proactive Pre-Construction Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the pre-construction phase of projects, ensuring successful project planning, estimating, and coordination. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with a background in pre-construction to make a significant impact on the success of complex projects.
- Leadership & Strategy:
Lead pre-construction activities (scope, budget, scheduling, estimating) and align with client goals. - Cost Estimation & Proposals:
Prepare cost estimates and competitive proposals for key clients. - Scheduling & Coordination:
Develop project timelines, manage contractor/vendor selection, and ensure schedule alignment. - Compliance & Relations:
Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain strong client relationships. - Financial Management:
Oversee invoicing, purchase orders, and manage COIs and project bonds. - Submittals & Documentation:
Prepare and submit required pre-construction plans, permits, and closeout documents. - Meetings & Communication:
Document and communicate updates from pre-construction meetings to stakeholders. - Subcontractor Management:
Coordinate agreements and pricing for subcontractors. - Project Monitoring:
Track business opportunities, manage documentation, and oversee employee access.
- Experience in pre-construction management or estimating within the construction industry, with a focus on federal or military projects preferred.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and processes.
- Proven experience with project estimating, cost analysis, and bid management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations and permitting processes.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (preferred).
