Position Overview

Join Cooper Tacia General Contracting as a Senior Superintendent. You will lead on‑site construction projects, ensuring timely and high‑quality completion while mentoring assistants and coordinating subcontractors. This position requires regular travel to project sites.

Responsibilities
  • Provide strong, hands‑on leadership on the job site, guiding and mentoring Assistant Superintendents and other team members.
  • Oversee the management of construction sites, including coordinating subcontractors and supervising employees to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Actively mentor and develop Assistant Superintendents, providing guidance, training, and support to enhance their skills and advance their careers.
  • Coordinate all subcontractors on‑site to ensure timely and quality completion of tasks, building and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including daily logs and reports, to ensure accurate and up‑to‑date records of project progress.
  • Implement and oversee quality control processes to uphold high standards of workmanship, ensuring all work meets or exceeds project specifications and industry standards.
Qualifications
  • At least 6‑8 years of experience in commercial construction with a solid track record of project completions.
  • Extensive experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple trades on‑site.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed construction goals and project timelines.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and technological communication skills.
  • Strong multitasking abilities and capacity to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent time‑management skills and proactive problem‑solving and decision‑making.
  • Logical thinking with a commonsense approach to challenges.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and tools, with willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality on all job sites.
  • Experience mentoring and developing junior team members.
