We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to join a growing General Contractor with a strong portfolio of Industrial and Commercial construction projects. This individual will be responsible for leading all field operations and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
About the RoleThe ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader with proven experience independently managing projects in the 20M+ range and thrives in a collaborative, team‑oriented environment.
Responsibilities- Lead all on‑site construction activities from preconstruction through project completion.
- Manage daily field operations, subcontractor coordination, scheduling, safety, and quality control.
- Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure milestones and deadlines are achieved.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, owners, architects, engineers, and trade partners to resolve field issues and maintain project momentum.
- Conduct regular site meetings, inspections, and progress updates.
- Enforce company safety standards and maintain a clean, organized, and compliant jobsite.
- Review construction documents and proactively identify potential conflicts or constructability concerns.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with plans, specifications, and company quality expectations.
- Mentor field staff and foster a positive, accountable team culture.
- Take ownership of project execution and maintain strong communication with all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- 7+ years of experience serving as the Superintendent for a General Contractor.
- Proven experience independently running ground‑up construction projects valued at approximately $20m.
- Experience with Industrial and commercial construction projects strongly preferred.
- Heavy mechanical project experience is a plus, but not required.
- Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, scheduling, safety protocols, and field coordination.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast‑paced construction environments.
- Proficiency with construction management software and scheduling tools preferred.
- OSHA certification and strong safety mindset preferred.
