Project ScopeThe Safety Manager will support an active construction project in Raleigh, NC, overseeing safety compliance across multiple scopes of work. This role is responsible for maintaining a strong safety presence on-site and ensuring all activities align with OSHA standards and project-specific safety plans. Work will include oversight of concrete operations, structural steel fabrication and installation, demolition activities, metal framing and drywall, as well as flooring and painting.
The Safety Manager will work closely with field supervision, subcontractors, and project leadership to proactively identify hazards and enforce corrective actions. This is a hands‑on, field‑based position requiring daily site walks, active participation in planning meetings, and direct engagement with crews to promote a culture of safety.
- OSHA 510 certification
- Minimum of 5 years of construction safety management experience
- Experience supporting multi-scope commercial construction projects
- Ability to work on-site in Raleigh, NC (local candidates strongly preferred)
- Availability to work full-time, Monday-Friday
- Comfortable working in active construction environments
- 1099 contractor status
- Enforce site‑specific safety plans and OSHA compliance
- Conduct daily site safety inspections and hazard assessments
- Lead toolbox talks and safety orientations
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions
- Coordinate with project management and subcontractors on safety issues
- Maintain safety documentation and reporting
