Watershed Builders – Site Superintendent – South Park, Charlotte, NC

The Gold Standard in Residential Remodeling:
Watershed Builders is a custom renovation and remodeling company serving South Charlotte's high‑end residential market with occasional custom home projects. Founded in 2019, the company is built around excellence, grit, ownership, teamwork, profit, and fun. We place a strong emphasis on integrity, clear communication, quality craftsmanship, and delivering an exceptional client experience.

We are looking for a highly organized, field‑driven Site Superintendent to oversee residential remodeling projects from pre‑construction through final completion. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being on site, leading trade partners, maintaining clean and productive jobsites, and communicating clearly with homeowners, subcontractors, vendors, and the internal team.

The Site Superintendent is responsible for keeping projects moving every day by coordinating field activity, managing schedules, monitoring quality, tracking materials, documenting progress, and helping ensure each project is completed on time, on budget, and to Watershed Builders' standards.

The Site Superintendent is brought into projects early, working with the estimating and pre‑construction team before the job is sold. This gives them a clear understanding of the scope, schedule, budget, client expectations, and project plan before work begins. For someone who takes pride in running organized, profitable projects and building strong relationships with both homeowners and trade partners, this position offers strong long‑term growth potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee residential remodeling and renovation projects from pre‑construction through punch list completion
  • Participate in pre‑construction site visits and assist with schedule planning before project kickoff
  • Manage day‑to‑day jobsite activity, subcontractor coordination, inspections, material needs, and field execution
  • Maintain project schedules, daily logs, weekly updates, and project communication through Job Tread
  • Coordinate with trade partners to ensure proper sequencing, quality control, and timely completion of work
  • Help prepare, document, and manage change orders, including approvals and communication
  • Track project costs, receipts, cost coding, vendor invoices, and subcontractor bill approvals
  • Maintain safe, clean, organized, and professional jobsites
  • Serve as a primary field contact for homeowners throughout the project
  • Lead routine site meetings, walkthroughs, and project check‑ins
  • Identify issues early and communicate solutions proactively
  • Help deliver a customer experience that results in strong referrals and 5‑star reviews
Qualifications
  • 4 to 7+ years of experience preferred in residential remodeling, renovation, custom home building, or a similar field leadership position
  • Strong understanding of jobsite sequencing, subcontractor management, scheduling, inspections, and quality control
  • Comfortable communicating directly with homeowners and trade partners
  • Experience managing fixed‑price projects and protecting project budgets
  • Ability to read scopes of work, schedules, plans, selections, and project documentation
  • Proficiency with construction management software or willingness to learn systems such as Job Tread
  • Strong written documentation, organization, and follow‑through skills
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
  • Must be able to work in the field throughout the South Charlotte service area
  • Reliable personal vehicle required during the initial employment period
  • Company vehicle eligibility begins after 4 months, subject to review
Pay And Benefits
  • Full‑time, W‑2 employment
  • Base salary: $80,000 to $95,000+ per year
  • Expected total compensation may range from $100,000 to $105,000, depending on performance
  • Additional compensation through KPI/profit‑share incentives tied to schedule performance, budget performance, and customer satisfaction
  • Unlimited PTO, based on performance and team coverage
