We invite you to join our highly reputable cost management and estimating team as a Project Controls Manager in Raleigh, NC. The role focuses on delivering Project Controls services across all phases of a project, enhancing project outcomes through advanced knowledge in scheduling, cost control, risk management, and procurement.

Responsibilities
  • Perform Project Controls services including capital planning, portfolio and project governance, front‑end planning, project funding, and project set‑up.
  • Manage construction technology, procure‑to‑pay processes, project cost and commercial aspects, schedule control, risk management, and project close‑out.
  • Participate in the delivery of portfolios, programs, and projects.
  • Support development of client capital plans by providing cash‑flow and accrual information.
  • Facilitate funding processes by consolidating information into holistic funding request documents.
  • Work closely with clients to set up project systems and coding, and communicate requirements to those providing inputs.
  • Enable effective governance by providing relevant, fact‑based information, including reports.
  • Assist in the smooth operation of construction technology, ensuring efficient information flow for execution and control.
  • Develop project sourcing strategies and set up procure‑to‑pay structures.
  • Forecast and influence project outcomes proactively.
  • Review and analyze schedule development and progression to influence outcomes.
  • Identify, quantify, monitor, and partner on risk mitigation plans.
  • Ensure effective closure of projects, completing all financial activities.
  • Attend work during normal business hours and perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge & Skills Required
  • Growing technical competency in Project Controls offerings such as project set‑up, construction technology, procure‑to‑pay, cost & commercial management, schedule control, risk management, and project close‑out.
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge of the construction industry and cost‑estimating methods.
  • Ability to analyze, compare, and interpret detailed information, including poorly defined data.
  • Strong Excel skills and proficiency in commonly used construction concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong ability to work independently while collaborating with team members and clients.
  • Adaptability to varied situations and willingness to work varied hours.
  • High level of creativity, initiative, and the ability to learn quickly.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents such as ARCH, CIVIL, STRUCTURAL, MEP, GEOTECH, SITE LOGISTICS, and SCHEDULES.
  • Effective collaboration across departments and stakeholder groups.
Preferred

Education and Experience
  • BS in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Architecture, or related field.
  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience post‑degree in a related field.
  • Experience with scheduling software, preferably Primavera P6.
Salary & Benefits

The salary range for this full‑time role is $97,400.00–$ per year. This range reflects base salary only and may be adjusted based on experience, skills, and client requirements.
