Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Construction Laborer to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals eager to continue a career in construction and willing to learn on the job. The Construction Laborer will perform various physical tasks to support the completion of construction projects while adhering to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist skilled tradespeople such as carpenters, masons, and electricians with on-site tasks.
Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites.
Operate basic hand tools and power tools as directed.
Prepare and clean construction sites by removing debris and hazardous materials.
Perform basic measurements and assist in layout and assembly of structures.
Follow all safety protocols and use protective equipment to ensure a safe work environment.
Support team members in tasks such as mixing concrete, assembling scaffolding, and digging trenches.
Maintain equipment and tools by cleaning and storing them properly after use.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of general hands-on construction experience
High school diploma or GED desired
Knowledge of construction tools and materials required
Successful completion of the Duke Energy badging requirements
Physically fit with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform manual labor for extended periods
Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team Reliable transportation required
Willing to Travel required
Ability to pass Background and Drug Screening Key
