What you'll be doing:

• Reviewing plans and specs, running quantity takeoffs on sitework scopes — earthwork, utilities, foundations
• Building estimates that actually win, using historical data, vendor pricing, and sub input (not just plugging in a formula and hoping)
• Working directly with subs and vendors to compare pricing and lock in the best options
• Being in the room for bid-day crunch time and final submission packages
• Staying involved as jobs transition to operations — your estimating knowledge doesn't just disappear after award
• Building real relationships with subs/vendors that pay off on the next bid

What you bring:

• Engineering degree or equivalent field experience — they care more about what you know than where the piece of paper came from
• 2+ years in estimating, field engineering, or site/civil construction
• Solid grasp of earthwork, excavation, and site utilities
• You can read civil drawings and do takeoffs without hand-holding
• Comfortable in Agtek, Viewpoint/Pro Contractor, AutoCAD, and Excel
