Role Overview:

Relay is seeking a visionary Generative AI Videographer to redefine the visual language of the frontline workforce. In this specialized role, you will act as a one-person production powerhouse, sitting at the intersection of documentary filmmaking and creative technology. You will spend most of your time leveraging advanced generative AI video tools to create broadcast-quality footage, motion graphics, and synthetic environments that would be impossible to shoot traditionally.

You will serve as a generative AI video prompter and creator, producer, editor, and director/DP, as needed for on-location shoots.

However, you are not just a prompter behind a desk. You are a storyteller who understands that true authenticity comes from the field. You will travel to customer sites-from bustling casinos to industrial logistics hubs-to capture the "human element" that AI cannot replicate. You will then return to our Raleigh studio to remix, extend, and enhance this footage using the world's most advanced creative stack.

What You'll Do:

• Lead Generative AI Production: Spend the majority of your time (approx. 70-75%) utilizing cutting-edge AI video models (e.g., OpenAI Sora, Runway Gen-3, Luma Dream Machine) to generate high-fidelity generative AI film, extend sets, and create motion graphics that drive our brand narrative.
• Execute "Hybrid" Editing Workflows: Seamlessly blend real-world footage with synthetic assets in Premiere Pro/DaVinci Resolve. Use AI for "smart cuts," voice cloning/dubbing (Eleven Labs), and upscaling user-generated content to 4K quality.
• Capture "Ground Truth" on the Road: Travel up to 25% of the time to customer locations nationwide. Shoot high-quality customer stories, interviews, and hero shots in diverse environments (manufacturing plants, hotels, casinos), ensuring we maintain a human anchor in all our content.
• Manage Studio Operations: utilize the Raleigh office as a production stage. Direct internal shoots with Relay employees, manage studio equipment (cameras, lighting, audio), and use the campus environment for rapid prototyping of creative concepts.
• Innovate & Educate: Act as the internal subject matter expert on AI video trends. Continuously test new models and workflows, maintaining a library of custom "Relay-safe" prompts and LoRA models to ensure brand consistency.

What You'll Have:

• Generative AI Fluency: Demonstrated expert-level proficiency in at least three generative video/image tools (e.g., Runway, Midjourney, Pika, Stable Video Diffusion). You can explain the difference between a "seed" and a "prompt" and know how to debug a hallucinating model.
• Video Production Pedigree: 3-5+ years of experience in traditional video production. You are comfortable operating professional cameras, drones, and understand lighting, audio, and composition in dynamic, uncontrolled environments.
• Hybrid Portfolio: A portfolio or reel that explicitly identifies "Hybrid" workflows-showing us how you combined raw footage with AI generation to solve a creative problem.
