Architectural Designer

Full-Time | In-Office | Raleigh, NC

A dynamic and collaborative architectural firm is seeking a motivated Architectural Designer to join our growing Raleigh office.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to innovative projects across a wide range of sectors-including commercial, retail, mixed-use, hospitality, science & technology, and multi-family residential-while working alongside a talented team dedicated to design excellence.

Key Responsibilities

* Contribute to the design and technical development of commercial and mixed-use architectural projects.

* Prepare and assist with the production of construction documents for multiple project types.

* Develop creative, functional, and client-focused design solutions aligned with project goals.

* Collaborate with project teams, clients, consultants, and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and smooth coordination.

* Assist with project specifications, material detailing, and building envelope system design.

* Participate in construction administration, ensuring compliance with drawings, codes, and regulatory requirements.

* Engage in lab planning and equipment documentation for biology, chemistry, clean rooms, tissue culture labs, and vivariums (as applicable to project assignments).

* Support project scheduling, quality control, and adherence to budgets.

* Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative design methodologies.

* Prepare and deliver compelling design presentations for clients and internal teams.

* Mentor and collaborate with junior team members in a supportive, growth-oriented environment.

Qualifications

* 0-7 years of professional post-graduate architectural experience (open to early-career through intermediate-level designers).

* Strong design sensibility paired with technical proficiency and attention to detail.

* Comfort producing construction documents across a variety of project types.

* Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Sketch Up required.

* Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator preferred.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to work both independently and collaboratively.

* Experience with mixed-use, commercial, or large-scale retail projects is a plus.

* Architectural License, LEED accreditation, and/or AIA membership are advantageous but not required.
